Gregory D. Givens
Greg D. Givens was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on September 25, 1958. He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1980. He was awarded the Outstanding Senior Man. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1983 and was a founding member of the Edmonds Cole Law Firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 2012, Mr. Givens formed the Givens Law Firm. Mr. Givens was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1983. He is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits and the United States District Court of the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.
Mr. Givens is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, American Bar Association and Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Givens became a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2012. Membership into the American College of Trial Lawyers is by invitation only, to persons who have distinguished themselves in trial practice for at least 15 years and who are recognized leaders in their local communities. The College looks for lawyers who are considered by other lawyers and judges to be the best in their states, lawyers whose ethical and moral standards are the highest, and lawyers who share the intangible quality of collegiality. The College is the only organization in which all Justices of the United States Supreme Court are honorary members.
Mr. Givens practices in the areas of civil litigation including insurance defense, bad faith litigation, product liability, premises liability and business law. Mr. Givens has a wide range of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation throughout the State of Oklahoma. In the last two decades, Mr. Givens has successfully defended hundreds of claims of insurance bad faith. As a lifelong Oklahoman, Mr. Givens relates well to Oklahoma jurors because he shares and appreciates their values and beliefs.
Mr. Givens enjoys reading, running, skiing and taking care of his yard.
